St. Cloud State University's College of Science & Engineering and NanoVox are co-hosting this third annual REGIONAL conference -- a full day of informative and educational sessions featuring current nanotechnology research and development in Environment, Energy, Medicine and Nano Applications.  Attendees and Speakers are from academia and industry throughout Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.  We hope you will plan to join us!

This conference format offers an opportunity for speakers to reach audiences outside of the "usual" scope targeted by their respective applications.  We're committed to "cross-pollination," if you will, as we recognize nanoscale science spans industry sectors and this region will benefit by everyone learning from each other!

CONFERENCE AGENDA

8 a.m. Registration -- Continental Breakfast

9 a.m.
Morning Keynote Speaker  Dr. Ted Wegner, Assistant Director of the USDA Forest Products Laboratory; Madison, WI

Dr. Wegner will share the FPL's R&D in nanocellulose and their efforts to work with industry and academia to form a public-private partnership to move the commercialization of cellulosic nanomaterials forward. Additionally, Dr. Wegner has been involved with the National Nanotechnology Initiative since 2006 and will share insights into its programs of work, as well as the focus of cellulosic nanomaterials commercialization efforts in Canada, Finland, and Japan.
